Take-Me-With-You Bear Hug Keepsake

I designed my little Take-Me-With-You Bear Hugs when I was coming to the end of my maternity leave. Faced with being apart from my little one after nine short months of being side by side every hour of every day, this felt very overwhelming. 

I came up with a little travel size memory bear for Mums like me, having to, or choosing to go back to work.

Then I started thinking about people in other situations... Dads who are back to work so quickly, grieving families, long distance loved ones, deployed military parents.. these little bear hugs are for you.

They also make great little keepsakes for grandparents or other family members. Or even just a small little keepsake to display at home. I have one for my daughter in my sewing room, so she's with me while I work.

Approx. 12cm (4½") tall.

Personalised Embroidery

If you wish to have a name, special date, birth weight etc. added to your keepsake, I can do this with embroidery in a coordinating colour on the bears tummy. Please select this option before adding to your cart.

Items l need From You

2-4 items. If you are having one of my other keepsake animals made, I can make bear hugs with the left over cut clothing.

Drawstring pouch: For a baby clothes keepsake please include a special muslin so I can make a drawstring pouch for your little traveling bear. For adult clothing keepsakes I can use any light weight woven fabric, like a mens shirt for example.

Items I cannot use within a keepsake:

• Heavy denim
• Waterproof fabrics like rain macs, waxed jackets etc.
• Sheer (see through) materials
• Loose knits
• Fur and faux fur

I can include little accessories like bows, hair accessories, buttons off shirts etc.

What's Next

After making your purchase, I will contact you within 24 hours with my address. It's super important you send these items with tracking, these are your super special items, so let's keep track of them!

Please note, you are responsible for the cost of shipping your items to me. Once you have shipped your items, please send me the tracking information so I know when to expect them.

Order Queue

Once I received your items and full payment has been made (if you paid a deposit first through Etsy), you will join my order queue where you can expect your keepsake to be shipped within one month. If you need your keepsake within that time frame by a specific date, please get in touch before placing your order.

Please note, I don't offer a keepsake proof with the bear hugs like I do with my memory bears, so if you have an idea of how you'd like your bear hug to look, please let me know in our first conversation after I have received your order. 

Shipping

Your keepsake will be shipped via Royal Mail with tracking, along with any larger pieces of cut clothing if you wish. If for any reason you don’t want the items returned please let me know.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
These memory keepsake items have been made from your sentimental items and therefore cannot be safety tested. This means they are not suitable for children under 14 years of age. Please keep out of reach of pets.
